Kathy Burns was born and raised in Southern California. She went to college at San Diego State University, earning a degree in mathematics and teaching credentials in mathematics and English. Kathy taught and tutored math for 30 years in San Diego public high schools, and tutored math privately. Having retired from teaching in San Diego public schools, she now tutors math and provides homework support in Clovis, NM.
